Microwave Cooking

I always love these stories. Of course something heated in a microwave using

too hot a temperature will " explode. " But so will oil or water heated on a

stove. Did these same people never get slightly sizzled from splattering

grease in a frying pan?

There are certain " do's " and " don'ts " associated with cooking in a microwave

just as there are with a conventional stove or oven. Most people never read

their instruction booklets. Conventional cooking methods and microwaving also

have similarities, the reason that the " power " features were added. For

example just as you would never melt butter on the " high " setting on a burner,

you don't want to do that in a microwave either.

Pay attention to what you're about in the kitchen, no matter what method you

use.
