Guest guest
I have a patient that had gastric bypass in November 2007. She has kidney stones and was taken off her calcium in March. They have not passed and it cannot be determined yet if the stone is calcium based. If it is, she will likely not be able to take calcium or have to drastically decrease the amount she is taking. What should be done in this case, if she cannot take calcium, to avoid problems in the future with osteoporosis? I would appreciate your input because I am not sure what to do.
