Glitz,

I use the M & P that comes in blocks..it is easy to use as each square in the

block is about 1 oz. of soap. When I did my petals, I melted 1/2 of the block

and let me tell you...I had a TON of soap left over. You'll be surprised how

many petals you can dip with that much soap !!! I think I finally ended up

melting about 6-8 oz. at a time and that was enough to do one cereal-sized

bowl of petals...

As for the size of the petals..I only used the medium to large size

petals..the really tiny ones I just saved for use in another project down the

line..but that might be cute for the little ones..assuming they are old

enough not to try and eat them...

You are going to love these petals..they are so cute and fun to make..Great

therapy after a hard day at work <G>

HTH ,

Vicki

If I can help with giving something to our fellow women in the Military, let

me know. I agree that would be a nice thing to do. Esther

Anything else y'all can think of!!

Small containers of massage oils might be nice. The stress level has to

be high there.

Hi there,

I have just noticed this posting...sorry,I am way behind.I am a military

wife, and I know that the female soldiers would love something like that.I

sent my hubby a bar of homemade soap in his bag on one of his last

deployments and he is still raving over how nice it was...and how it made him

feel cared about while he was away...and appreciated.I am in NC,there are

actually 2 bases/posts where I am.Ft Bragg,army with special forces,etc.and

an air force base.About 30 miles give or take from here, there is a navy

base, and also a marine base.I cannot tell you how low everyone's moral is and

how high the stress levels are right now. There are reservists now too that

got activated for a year +.I know the red cross is sometimes helpful with

some things, but maybe contacting the Morale and Welfare Program at any

military instilation would be a better choice, with quicker results.I am sorry

to babble,just my 2 cents.

Have a great night!

Jenn
