Guest guest
, I would be interested in outlines for these classes as well, if you’re willing to share. How often do this post-operative classes meet and how long do they last? We have considered adding an “On Track” class for pts who are 1 yr or more post-op or for those who have regained wt and include a therapist, etc. Make it a 4 hr or so class, but I don’t know if just a one time meeting would be worthwhile or if regular follow-up would be required. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks! Guest guest
Sure I can attach most of the outlines. We make it required that 4 weeks of mandatory post-operative classes in a row (once a week for 4 weeks). We then offer monthly support group meetings for anyone to come and have open topics on what the patients would like to discuss (it's more for them to talk about their problems/issues and we moderate). I agree one time is not enough; especially post-op they need constant reinforcement from us! Hope this helps! Let me know if you need anything else? Guest guest
, One more question…do you teach all these classes? Do you demonstrate the exercise or do you have an exercise physiologist or PT do that? Thanks again!
