Guest guest
I don't have a drawing salve recipe but when my husband almost lost his legs due to blood poison and my mother the same a country Dr told us to apply peeled fresh grated potatoes and the juice from them directly onto the sore. It worked and has been something I use all the time for boils, sores that look like they might get infected ect. My mother died with both legs in tact and my husband still has his legs and this was in 1968. Just thought I would pass it on. If you decide to use this method be sure to grated it on plastic and take the shreds then to gauze and tape to whereever you need it. Another store bought item (for when it is not feasible to wear the potato potion) is a black ointment called icthamol (sic??) but if you ask any druggist about the black ointment they should know what you are talking about. It cost little to buy and has a long shelf life. Good luck Glitz Drawing salve/Husk salve > > > Hi, > My fiance's been trying to find a salve that he used to use a lot but can't find anywhere now--it's called Husk Salve and it's a drawing salve. If anyone knows either where to find it or how to clone it please tell me? > Thanks, > Serra > > > -- > Every time I walk into a singles bar I can hear Mom's wise words: " Don't > pick that up, you don't know where it's been!
