Guest guest
Hello Ladies, I have a question of you all. I know there is an increasing body of info on saline implants, but I'm not sure where to go. I am looking for some credible study or article that I could send on to a friend now considering saline implants after reconstructive cancer surgery. She probably will have the surgery next week, but she is interested in seeing what other information there is. She didn't even know the implants had silicone shells. I cannot believe doctors still are not telling women this. And, I don't know some of the issues - I know the valve is one, but are there other ways the implant can become contaminated with bacteria? Anyway, I'd like some articles to pass on to this friend. DOn't want to scare her silly, but I would like to give her some information so she will be - at the least - aware of the potential problems should she start having problems. I went for years without a fricking clue, that my silicone implants were causing me problems. Geesh, coulda shoulda woulda ...I wish I had not stuck my head in the sand and had thought about them sooner. Maybe I would not have gotten so sick. Can someone direct me to some good links? Thank you, Molly
