Guest guest
I have a pt about 3 months out who is experiencing graying of her teeth with lines developing across them. Her pharmacist said that it was due to iron supplementation and if she stopped taking her iron it should go away. Has anyone heard of this? I don't want her to stop takin iron, but she doesn't want gray teeth either. Help! Guest guest
-I would find out if she is using the Pro creast tooth paste or mouth rinse. Peridex rinse will also stain teeth. This product turned my teeth very gray and hygenist add to use a more abrassive cleaner to remove. i havn't seen that side effect from iron. -- In , " Hosier " <hosierj@...> wrote: > > I have a pt about 3 months out who is experiencing graying of her teeth > with lines developing across them. Guest guest
Hi za, K2 - the vit K protocol - Thorne k2 drops Our Eddie had grey teeth - k2 made them white very fast - start low and slow as with everything. When we added vit D his teeth went grey again so we went to the full vit k protocol dose and they got better. We found in the summer we had to stop giving vit D and have restarted again now. Weston A Price has a lot to say about vit K (factor X) - so very important to get calcium into bones. Vit k protocol says to avoid supplementing calcium (we stopped and our Eddie improved - but we do get plenty of natural calcium in diet). Guest guest
Hi Isobel - We give the top dose now of 3x4 drops per day with meals - each drop is 1mg. But it's important to start at 1 drop and go slowly. The vit k protocol is an interesting one - getting more popular VitaminK/?yguid=300738048 vit k was certainly important for us.
