Guest guest
I have done 4 different presentations and the fees ranged from 75-150, I took the 75 as a favor to someone, I have seen many others charge 150 for 60-90 minute presentations. -----Original Message-----From: [mailto: ]On Behalf Of tracy_nixSent: Tuesday, March 25, 2008 6:00 AM Subject: speaker's fees I am probably going to agree to speak at a conference regarding bariatrics and pregnancy, but I've gotten the impression that I will have to negotiate my payment. Would anyone be willing to share what they charge or have been paid for speaking at a conference so I will have an idea of what is reasonable? Thanks! Guest guest
It may depend on who is footing the bill. Pharmaceutical sponsors will easily pay $500 per talk. If a private organization or hospital is paying, I wouldn't take less than $150 but that may be all they can afford. Guest guest
We just organized a wellness symposium. We paid the RD from Whole Foods $100 for a one hour presentation. I think it would be resonable for $150-$200 to include the time you take to prepare the presentation. Guest guest
I think the fee should depend on if the presentation is already completed (i.e. have you done it before) or if you have to create it for this particular group. I would then charge more. for me a good presentation takes several hours to create, let's say 8 hours. If you charged 150, then it should only be 18.75 per hour, this seems low to me. Don't forget you have travel time and time for the presentation.
