Hi. I know yoiu didn't think that!

I was just giving a warning of what happened to me.

I'm looking into estriol. I might take it but not now. No, I'm 30 next week.

Bioidenticals do help many women, I just happened to get sick on it. I just warn caution--that's all.I'm not saying don't do it. Try it, you might fare well on it. Young women can have issues with PMS--boy, do I ever!

Hugs,

LM I never said I think Bio identicals are the answer to everything and lord knows that I never ever feel any one drug or food supplement whatever is the answer to anything and everything. I am very skeptical, mostly I was just telling about what Suzanne sommers said and that I think once your at that age of 57 ish and start really suffering the down side of menopause, then it is def worthwhile to look into. Your still in your 20's aren't you? Your much to young to need this kind of treatment anyhow, but for me, I figure in the next 17 years it might be something that I will look into and esp by then things might be even more advanced. I know I am not wanting to be a dry(vaginally dry) sexless older woman, I want to keep that part of my marriage alive and healthy and right now we are doing a good job on that one. If it came down to

feeling better and having a better sex life you bet I would consider it. But like most things I am a true skeptic and would not do anything without researching the shit out of it.Just wanted to share since you had mentioned Bio identicals in a postive light many many times on this group. Sorry if you thought I was suggesting it was something we shoudl all run out and try that was certainly never my intention.I do think that it is worth examining and esp watching the next few years of my 40's into my 50's to see what advances and advantages this protocol may have. Hell my mom says menopause for her was no big deal so I may not even have a need for it at all.hugs girlie , Jane Doe wrote:> CAUTION:> BIO IDENTICAL HORMONES ARE NOT RISK FREE.> > I became ill on bioidentical progesterone last week. Since this time, I consulted

with my endo. While he feels bio identical progesterone can help MANY WOMEN with PMS, it does NOT benefit all women--in fact, it can exacerbate the PMS symptoms. Hormones are not well received by all women. Hormones--if they are not needed can also cause adverse side effects.> > My docs plan for me: address FMS issues first then revisit the progesterone issue at a later date. He feels I could be having a bad reaction because of the FMS itself (he went into an explanation that went over my head a bit--lol). I will give this small does another try after the fms is being "dealt" with. He has referred me on to the best FMS rheumy in DC. I'm awaiting an appointment with them.> > Be cautions, while bio identical have less side effects than synthetic (according to Dept. of OBGYN at town Univ.), it does not mean it's not still a potential danger or that these are right for ALL women.
