Guest guest Posted December 17, 2008 Report Share Posted December 17, 2008 we have a post op rny from aug 08 that recently had it reversed on 12/2 he has been in and out of several hospitals due to nausea vomiting ect we do know that he has been seen purging and yes he has had a psy consult in the past he told me from the beginning that he wished he didnt have the surgery this is our question with pts that purge what labs do we need to check? i dont deal with eating disorder pts we assume thiamine but what other labs do we need to check and could a vitamin def make him nausiated we may ask for him to be transfered to a psy unit in another hospital but we want to make sure that we check everything first thanks Miceli MA, RD, LDNSouthern Surgical HospitalSlidell, La936-443-4123 (cell)985-661-2146 (work) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
