Dan, Detox baths are great, and a gentle way to rid of toxins. Perhaps she can start with that. I think we have the links on our site. Also, following a South Beach type diet or Mercola's "No Grain Diet" are great for candida.

Renew Life also has a "Candida Cleanse' and Primal Defense by Garden of Life is also good at cutting down candida and bringing back the good guys to ward it off. Sweating by any means is excellent at detoxing. I also take chorella for heavy metal detox. I will send you the link. Excellent product! I am glad she is doing well, and what a blessing it is to have such great support from you as well !

have more questions for my love

With the help of the advice given to her by all of you, my Angel's health and happiness are growing daily. For months she has been decreasing her dosage of Prednisone. Yesterday she only took 1mg. Thank you all for all of your friendly advice and loving comments that keep her spirit so high. And thank you all for treating me as kindly as you have. Some of you have told me that she needs to detoxify and I was wondering about different methods of detoxification so I could help her to be poison free. Also, I want to know what types of exercise, if any, would be good for her. She says that she wants to exercise and I know that I shouldn't try to push her. I just don't know how to exercise with her. Getting her to exercise isn't hard at all. If I tell her that I will give her a massage afterwards she will run a 4 minute mile. I just need to know what type of light exercise regiment would benefit her. If any of you have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. What I really want to know however, is how to get her on a diet that will rid her of Candida. I know somewhat how this type of diet works but the struggle that remains is getting her to not eat sugar. My darling loves ice cream and Oreo's and she loves them on a regular basis. I don't know how how to get her to lay off of them or if I even should. I don't want to deny her of eating what she loves but I don't want her to feel bad either. Her doctor told her to go on a no sugar diet but she is as addicted as a crack junkie, but only to Ben and Jerry's. Thanks a million for all of your help, Dan

Dan, one of the best things I have done is to get a recumbent bike

(stationary). I paid about $200 for it, but you can find them

cheaper if you look. I started riding it about 5 minutes the first

day and increased by 10% every other day. Now I'm up to 35 minutes/9

miles every other day. Actually, I feel so much better on the days

that I ride, so I've decided to ride 20 minutes every day. It helps

so much to keep my body moving and to sweat! Exercise like running

for me is not good. It hurts my knees and ankles way too much.

Riding is so much easier for me and I can do it much longer.

The sugar issue is so difficult! I have been right where she is.

Every single day I had to have a brownie, chocolate chip cookies,

and/or ice cream with hot fudge! I was a chocoholic for sure. I

found that if I could go one day without chocolate, I could go the

next day and maybe the next. I just had to take it one day at a

time. Also, instead of totally not eating chocolate, I let myself

have a treat now and then. That's probably not the best thing to do,

but I find that if I totally deny myself stuff that is " good " (bad!),

I will binge when I'm around it.

I definitely feel better when I don't eat sweets. I just can't

totally quit them for good. If they're not in the house, I don't eat

them! That means, don't buy them. I know that's hard when there are

other people in the house that eat that kind of stuff. Maybe it

would be good to tell whoever gets the groceries not to buy them

anymore. If everyone in the house stops eating sweets it would

really help. In my house - that would never happen!

Whatever you do, don't push her or make her feel bad. Help her, tell

her you'll stop eating something you're addicted to if she'll stop

eating oreos and icecream. Get a gym membership and go with her. It

always helps to have someone to do stuff with.

Good luck, and give her a hug from me!
