Guest guest
I use cod liver oil in the winter and fish oil in the summer. Kathy
Guest guest
I just started using Codmega by Garden of Life, which mixes both Cod Liver Oil and Fish oil in their capsules. So I'm getting the best of both worlds! This company seems to offer high quality and toxin-free ingredients. The details & benefits of this specific brand are at the following link: http://www.gardenoflife.com/detail_codmega.shtml Becca :-D
Guest guest
I think the key is testing to know which to take, you can find clean CLO. I lived in Florida for years and got tested for vitamin D and was at the low end of the healthy range! I take CLO all year, with higher doses in winter and lower or none when I have a nice long day out in the sun. fish oil is needed pretty much all year because you can't take enough CLO to get all your EFAs. Some will argue that point though... You can get healthy CLO from a few sources, I believe Nordic Naturals (not 100% sure about this source) and Blue Ice are the only recommended sources, the rest aren't NT approved. The shopping guide just came out, that should have them in there. I haven't read this year's guide yet. http://www.drrons.com/cod-liver-oil.htm but I do think absorption is an individual thing and certainly everyone's skin is a different color and makes differing amounts of Vit. D so getting tested is all you can be sure about. if a doc orders it, insurance usually covers it. they're not too hard to convince. > > I was wondering what is the better choice, either good fish oil or cod liver oil. Any insight? A friend of mine who sells fish oil bashes the cod liver oil because of contaminates in it. So I am confused since I see it is listed as a superfood by Price. I can't afford both and want to oil to my children as well. Can you help me decide? > Thanks, > > > > >

Guest guest
What about the CLO that Dr. Mercola sells from Carlson? Re: cod liver oil or fish oil? We always carry it so no need to call ahead unless you want a case. Fermented is $45/bottle but the dose is a smaller size b/c it is more concentrated. Reg is $20/bottle. The fermented is a better buy if cost is your only consideration. Dr 3948 W. 50th st suite 203 Edina MN 55347 920-920-4528
