Guest guest
Richyne, and all, I want to reiterate that this is a website about TRADITIONAL FOODS but not a medical advice site. There are specific sites for the extremely serious (and very curable) condition of INSOMNIA, as well as every single medical condition there is (I recommend the group discussions at curezone.com). We strive to be a place that avoids throwing out quicky diagnoses or treatment plans. Personal food journeys that we have experienced first-hand, however, are very good, very important. I've experienced several of these myself and, HAD I KNOWN WHAT'S ON THIS SITE 10 YEARS AGO, I could have avoided at least two life-threatening conditions! I always get nervous when we get into requests for medical advice. This is not good and a recipe for disaster. There are certainly dietary concerns for every condition and that part is fair game here but I'm going to put this out as a 2008 Resolution, that all of should seek other medical options on Google or elsewhere for web medical advice. Every CHRONIC ailment has 10-100 multi-factorial causes, almost ALWAYS including nutrition. Unless other issues like smoking, bad job, bad marriage, bad stress, bad habits, lack of exercise, bad environment and all those others are addressed there will usually be failure trying to use nutrition as the part of the quest for the SILVER BULLET. When you can't resist the temptation to GIVE medical advice, be it diagnosis or treatment, make sure it's A) referral to a healer your personal story C) Referral to other sources of medical advice. Like any other website, everyone in the discussion should be an adult and never, ever take medical advice without first being evaluated by the professionals of your choice AND without making a conscious decision to internalize the advice and take responsibility for following it YOURSELF. We all know that what works for Person A may or may not work for Person B. That's why professional holistic help is so valuable. We have a RAFT of holistic doctors in the TC area, you do not need to go to some loser at an HMO clinic or some other loser doc just because it's insurance covered. Go the right person. Get good advice, get good care. See the DATABASE for trusted and well-known holistic experts. Will Moderator
Guest guest
Two thing I know that do help, good old warm milk before bed. Guess there is something in warm milk that does help you sleep. Plus it give you blood sugar a boost so you do not drop too low during the night. Thus causing better sleep. Next is a warm drink with 1 to 2 T of raw apple cider vinegar in warm water with a good pinch of ground ginger and honey to taste. No idea why this works but it does! Oh, one more is valerian root. This is an old time one that works great. Kimi ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ www.Jremedies.com Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ 2.. The American G. I.
