Guest guest
Hello Beth, How have you been feeling? I was reading your post that you want to see a neurologist?? Have you been tested for Perepherial Neuropathy?? It took me YEARS to battle for that test (it is an EMG). In my heart, I just had to rule everything out!! I used to get the numbness and tingling, ect. I finally got the EMG, it was negative! That it the test for neuropathy. In my own opinion, I would NOT mention implants. When I go to the docs, I just have them focus on my particular symptoms to get a diagnosis. If you mention the implants they may think you are nuts, or you may not get them to do the test. I would just focus on getting the diagnosis, and ruling other problems out. Just to warn you the EMG is a very painful test. (not to scare you), and I am no wimp either(I went back to work 10 days after i was implanted, and had a spinal tap in my early 20's (they do not numb you), and I thought these were not as nearly painful. Well after I got that test, I was like, dam, I cannot belive I begged for that. LOL And also I heard the Neuro. tell the nurse behind my back that the test was normal, and that I probably had psychological problems, then he told me to my face, and made me cry!! I am stronger now, and if I came across him, I would tell him off(or kick his ass..LOL/just kidding/not?), instead of crying. Anyway, I would try and get the test if you have not already had it done. It is good to get 'piece of mind' . Keep me updated on how you are doing! Be well! Hugs and health always to you..TERRY
