Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been " encouraged " to make home made ice cream for my kids because they take ice cream to wash down cod liver oil. I have been giving them Breyers natural because it does not have corn syrup and is fairly natural, although the milk and cream source is probably quite icky. I know there are better brands like Cedar Summit Farms but they all have egg in them, and oldest daughter is deathly allergic to eggs. I have no idea why I just typed my life story out when my question can really be summed up as this- Is guar gum a good natural ingredient? I can add that instead of egg for binding, without the chalky effect of arrowroot or flour or even corn starch, all of which we have tried, but I am not sure if we SHOULD have guar gum in our diet. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Carol F
