Guest guest
Wow, Beth...I hardly know what to say, I can't believe what you have been thru. Have you ever had a liver function test performed? the kind of fluid retention you describe can be a sign of liver and/or kidney problems. I have a liver problem....and my health was much like yours when I saught help. Funny though...in my case, it was my dermatologist that figured out the puzzle for me. And still believes it has nothing to do with my implants, but she may just be uninformed...I kind of think that they DO contribute in some way. Many of my problems started about four years after receiving implants, but because I have a few other things going on...it would be difficult to ever know where it started. Guest guest
Hi, I was tested both kidney and liver but I'm not too sure about the results. Sometimes I think that doctors just don't know what they are doing. I have a history of kidney disease in my family. Both my Father and Grandmother had to have a kidney removed. My problems also started 4 years after getting my implants.Aprilcupcake@... wrote: Wow, Beth...I hardly know what to say, I can't believe what you have been thru. Guest guest
Beth do not worry as you are NOT alone. Your story is so very similar to mine and many women here. It is so hard to find a doctor to admit anything but we all are sure as to why wee are sick - that is certain. Please don't do anything rash... I am severely depressed and have gone through the same thoughts as you but you have to be strong. I am very ill and on disability as well. We need to all stick together and support one another so we can make some changes in this world. I got my implants in 1996 and the story was the same as yours - all the research I did was positive and the doctor assured me that they were completely safe. bull..... please let me know if you have any questions as I would be happy to talk. best wishes and hang in there!! shari
Guest guest
LM I definitely do plan to pursue it. I think I am going to have some pics taken with my digital camera and then send her a letter with them. I am sure then she will contact me and I will set up a date to see her. I just have a tendency to put things off--especially when they aren't fun experiences. I haven't been ready to make the long trip back to cleveland. Getting well has been more important. It would be nice to have that taken care of, but the thought of more surgery certainly doesn't excite me. Especially since I won't be getting bigger breasts--just make my infintessimal ones look a little better. But then I still have the huge c-section scar from my navel to my pubic bone and some wonderful stretch marks to accompany them! and my lower abdomen has decided to look very pouchy ever since I tried the bentonite and psyllium fast three months ago. I don't even know whats up with that! I keep seeing these commercials on tv about cortisol and lower abdominal fat. Like I believe that their product is going to get rid of it. Seriously, even when I fasted for 2 days I looked somewhat bloated. IT is getting very demoralizing. My gyne thought every thing looked ok at my annual visit, so I am not worried about ovarian cancer. Does anyone else have this problem? And suggestions? I only weigh 122 lb. I am 5'6 " so I am really kind of underweight. I am 49, so perhaps some kind of perimenopausal crap? If anyone has any ideas or the same problem, I would love to hear about it. This is why we shouldn't put so much stock in how our breasts look. You can't fix everything. I can't make my lousy c-section scar look any better. I swear, it seems like all I do is try to fix things that are going downhill...with my body, my house, my dog etc etc etc!! Hugs, kathy --- In , Jane Doe <oceanlilly_csu@y...> wrote: > Kathy: > Hi. Guest guest
Kathy, I have thought about taking Cortiaslim too. I am 47. And I to have had a C-section (three of them) boy we have a lot in common. LOL. In the fat flush book Gittleman talkes about cortisol and how we produce more of it when we are under stress. (you think that we have been stressed over all this?) Also caffine and alcohol will rise the cortisol level in are bodies. If we can't help the stress, I was thinking if this product works I might give it a try. I trying the fat flush diet first, if that doesn't get rid of the tummy than I think I will buy the cortiaslim. If you try it first let me know how it works. Love Cricket > > Kathy: > > Hi. Guest guest
Cricket, Where did you get the Cortiaslim? And what kind of symptoms does one have when there cortisol is too high. I have often thought that cortisol is what causes my son and I not to be able to sleep. What do you think?
