Today it's " toad in the hole " or as we call it " egg on a raft with a

hat " . For those who are not familiar with this, you take a piece of

good bread, cut a hole in the center of it with a small glass or

cookie cutter and fry it in a pan with some butter. When I have one

side golden brown, I turn it over and add the egg to the hole. I then

season this side with salt and pepper and cook until the egg is

desired doneness. We like the white to be cooked and the yolk runny.

Oh, and I almost forgot the best part...you also toast the cut out

bread circle in the pan with lots of butter and place it on top of the

egg to serve. We ate this with an organic grapefruit half and some

hot tea.
