Guest guest
Michele I am sorry you are dealing with this and yes I definitely agree that your problems could be related to the implants. Mine were very similar in the beginning as yours and progressively got much worse. General achyness, pain and stiffness in my neck and back mainly on one side. Constant muscle spasm in my trap muscles. then started the headaches and then more and more ailments. If I were you I would get an appt as soon as possible to talk about removal before your health deteriorates as much as mine. I waited much too long as I had no idea it was the implants. Also - please be mentally prepared as well for a not so fuzzy welcome from your doctors as many do not like to speak out at all about the issue. It may take you several drs. to get one that truly believes your feelings and illnesses and this gets so very aggravating. Stand up and find the right doc to help you and support you and stick with our group as there is so much information and support we can give you. Whether it is symptoms or needing help finding a good specialists. This group has helpe.d me tremendously every time I needed answers I know it must be tough if you really love your implants and I am sure that they look great but it is ever worth an entire life of suffering, If I had mine removed a year after (250cc)I would have probably feel fine now. But after having the in for 7 years they ruined health. Not I have the horrible morning stiffness, brain fog, disability, etc. I never thought my life would turn this way at 30 years old with a small child, It is a tough burden to bare wishing I had done more looking and don't wait until it is too late and wonder only if,,,,,, shari
Guest guest
Hi and welcome. Lets say that first of all your symptoms do sound like many of ours. The timing does not really mean anything, I mean for me the morning is the worse time of day now, but ahhhh, I am 40 and with arthritis in my family, and a big athlete so acheness is my middle name some mornings, and yes it usually goes away with a workout and a hot shower. However, when I was 34 and newly implanted I don't recall the pain always being worse in the am, I know that it sounds very much like what your describing. I don['t want to scare you and I know that when this news first comes in to our lives esp if we like our implants, it is very discouraging and frightening to say the least. I feel that it def could be your implants, and that my first stop would be to a Dr to get some blood work done. You may or may not want to mention the implants, the best thing might be to say that rheumatologic diseases run in your family, lie a little if you have to and get them to refer you to a rhuematologist so that you can get all the blood work done, for RA,lupus, that kind of stuff. If I was you I would not wait too long, because for most of us things only seemed to get worse the more time that went by. I know right now thinking of getting the implants out is frightening and terrible, but down the road it may be your only chance of saving your health. I really wish I could post more but I am still recovering from a little bug and need to rest somemore, please please listen to the advise I am sure you will get and know that your not alone. These supposed safe implants just don't seem to be so safe to all of us. In fact it seems more and more of us are finding them to be very deadly. I will pray for you to find more answers. You can also call Dr Feng, go to www.drfeng.com and talk to her assistant , she can tell you all kinds of things she knows as they remove thousands of implants a year there. They are truly professional, and others will I am sure have some good advice for you too. I just pray that you will do one thing, listen to your voice and the fact that god led you to this site, those are two very very strong things that you need to pay attention to. I feel that we all ended up here for a reason. love and blessings In , " meach35 " <meach35@a...> wrote: > just was doing a little research ... trying to figure out what the > heck is wrong with me and I happened on to this site and a few > others... Guest guest
Hi Michele: Welcome. Your implants may be very well making you sick. If you're worried about your looks of your breasts and you fear ex plant, don't be afraid, because the right plastic surgeon will make you look good. If you want to see a doctor who can evaluate you for implant illness, see Dr. Vasey at USF in Tampa, or your local rhuematologist. I have an upcoming appointment with Dr. Vasey. Good luck in whatever you decide. For me, the implants/ex plant experience has changed my life--for the worst. Stick around and learn what they have done to others here. Take Care. I wish you the best. -Mariemeach35 <meach35@...> wrote: just was doing a little research ... trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with me and I happened on to this site and a few others... Guest guest
Michele, Welcome and please read our stories. Mine is under 's letter to Oprah. They really put a good perspective on the symptoms to look for, and what we have been through. BTW-I look great after explant, and am feeling much better. MUCH BETTER Now if only I hadnt wreaked havoc on my health with the implants in the 1st place, it would have been so much easier. Love Re: Hi all I'm new here.... Hi Michele: Welcome. Guest guest
- Hi. Welcome. Yes, your symptoms are very very typical of the symptoms people sick from implants have. There is no way to tell for sure if they are caused by your implants. But if you were feeling normal before getting the implants and nothing identifiable has happend to cause your symptoms since, there is good reason to believe the implants are making you sick. Several women on this site started having problems almost immediately after implant. Others not for years. One of the most common complaints of women sick with implants is fibromyalgia-like symptoms and you are certainly describing those. If you go to a doctor, most likely he will tell you it is nothing and even if it was, it couldn't be caused by your implants. If you get bloodwork, it is often normal, and even if it wasn't and they actually gave you a diagnosis---lupus, fms, RA or some other autoimmune illness, it still doesn't mean that it didn't result from your implants. The bottom line is that if your implants are making you sick, you will just continue to worsen and get more and more symptoms as time goes by. If you get them out you have a chance to recover most of your health. Many women on this site have recovered significantly after being explanted and working at regaining their health. I am pretty sure most women who have been explanted remain convinced that their implants were making them sick and their recovering health seems to bare that out. Like you, I just had this bad feeling my implants were behind my worsening health problems. I really believe that God led me to this site, because I had looked many times for some link between saline implants and my symptoms. However, I could never find any. Everyone was touting saline as safe. Finally, after much prayer, I was at a massage therapist's office and picked up one of her professional magazines while I was waiting. It had an article on how to massage women who had been explanted and had silicone deposits. Then it had a contact for implant disease--saline. Her name was Ilene Rosenthal. I called her and she put me in touch with this group. That was 3 years ago. I wrote a letter with my symptoms and many women wrote back saying how my symptoms were like theirs. Within months, I got explanted. Within weeks, some of my worst symptoms left. It has been almost 3 years and I continue to improve. My symptoms developed over a period of 11 years. At first they were intermittent, but eventually became more chronic and more severe. I truly believe that had I not gotten out my implants when I did, today I would have a full blown autoimmune illness. Instead, I feel perfectly normal alot of the time, though I still have symptoms that cycle in and out of muscle pain and fatigue. Contrast this to constant and ever increasing pain, fatigue, dizziness and a multitude of other symptoms that I was experiencing prior to explant. I think the overwhelming majority of women who are explanted who feel that their implants are making them sick, believe they made the right decision. I pray that God will guide you to the right decision for you.
