Terry:

Fear bald spots or being "see through" is NOT SHALLOW. You know how I feel. I fear that worse than death.

NOBODY knows what hair loss is like until they themselves suffer.

I can tell you in all honesty that my effluviums are THE WORST kick in the ass to this date I have suffered. I'll take my FMS pain (so long as I get sleep meds), scars on my tits from the explant, and neurological symptoms, as long as my hair regrows. My hair loss has made me suicidal.

People underestimate the pain of this dilemma. I had a 26 year old friend, first year medical student with PCOS who was masculinizing and loosing her hair (like a man--the kind of hair loss you can't cure--you don't get it back), she became so depressed that she took her life. Doctors underestimate the effect this has on women--just as they do implants.

I don't know what I'd do if my hair loss were noticeable and couldn't cure it. I think I'd do what my friend did. I don't have the constitution within my personality to deal with such an awful fate.

I hope you get to a hair loss doc soon. For all you know, something as simple as thyroid or iron is your problem. I pray for this.

Hugs,

--Hello , thank you for your help. The weird thing is, my hair started falling out before all the detoxing and way before the xanax. I did not take any meds for 1yr and a half(including asprins, ect), during which this time the hair loss started. I eat ALOT of protein and I always have. I eat alot of chicken. Infact, everyone says I am going to 'turn into a chicken adventually..lol. I also eat turkey, fish, and now sometimes steak(it is not a favorite of mine, but figure maybe my body needs it?) I rotate my diet, and eat really healthy. I have always ate really well, even before I got ill. It is very depressing to loose my hair. I can even deal with the fact that I will never be 100% well, better than someday having bald spots or see thru hair. It may sound shallow, but that is how I feel. Maybe it is just a toxic effect from the

implants or autoimmune?? Thanks for your imput. Hope you feel better soon! I am hoping one day to put a positive post as to why this is happening, and saying it has stopped. hugs and health always! TO me at least there are medication for pain and there does not seem to be any real solution to hair loss. I don't trust the crap they market and sell and feel that possibly it is meant to keep you buying the shit by making the hair loss worse if you dont continue the product, so I basically agree with everything your saying here. My only difference was that my neuro symptoms were so bad that nothing was worse than that. Of course my

hair loss issues came later in the game for me, the neuro stuff was gone and I was doing fairly well when the whole hair loss thing happened and to think it was all induced by thryoid meds. Terry, I hope your problems get better, and feel for you. Please look into a doctor that deals with hormones ,esp thyroid. I had a lot of hair loss for a long time. I did not look forward to washing my hair, it came out in handfuls and was so tangly ! It has gotten better with the addition of a great omega 3, like flaxseed oil, (Great for hair and nails too!) progesterone cream after doing saliva testing , and on the right amount of thyroid medications. It was tricky to come this far, but has worked. Finally, damn it. hang in there. Love
