Guest guest
Just today my friend MATT OXFORD has delivered to me a big batch of his wild-caught Alaskan Salmon. It's now here and ready for sale. This is the most beautiful salmon you have ever seen, and will be the most delicious you will ever eat. This is the top of the top of the top. Far better than the factory or corporate salmon at the other fish outlets and supermarkets. Later this summer we will have Matt give us a presentation about what makes his kind of salmon fishing SUSTAINABLE and what he has to do to maintain his certification as a sustainable fisherman. However, no matter what food you eat, from vegan to carnivore, it's essential that you eat sustainably. This is nowhere more important than in our vast oceans, now said to be 80% fished out! And getting worse! Anyway, for now, start appreciating eating right by getting your own salmon. Matt has brought over a shipment of steaks and large fillets of his beautifully-orange natural salmon for direct sale to our members. These fish were hand-selected by Matt and his family as the ones he wanted to keep and sell direct here at home. They were hand- filleted on the boat, vacuum-packed in clear material, and instantly frozen in the correct method to insure that all the vitamins, nutrients and flavor is sealed in. This is, by far, the best way to get it to us here in Minnesota. The salmon is $10/pound to members and will be first come-first serve. He only has 200# for us so not everyone will get some with this first batch. I'm hoping no one will take more than 10# so more people can experience the joy. I'm pretty sure that Matt will be OUR ALASKAN FISHERMAN from here on out so we will have more later when he returns to the boat to catch more! Come to my garage after 10:30 am tomorrow (Thursday) or anytime during the day. The scale will be out and the salmon is in the tall freezer in the garage. Address: 3116 Holmes Ave So in Uptown, it's one block west of Hennepin and 1.5 blocks south of Lake St. Park OFF-ALLEY behind my house and go right into the garage. I'll be there to police the action for most of the day. I'll post a note here the minute it's all gone. Will Winter
Guest guest
I just wanted to give this salmon my undying vote of approval!! I have purchased salmon from Matt for the last 3 years or so. I always have tons of friends who want fish and I end up ordering 60lbs or so each time. Never, ever, have we had a bad piece of fish. Always clean, fresh and WOW! Burst your taste buds without leaving you feeling bogged down and greasy, like some salmon makes you feel! Guest guest
Seriously, try it!! And make it like Matt recommends. Salt and Pepper the fish and put it into a " smokin' hot " cast iron pan, NO OIL, flesh side down. Sear for 3 minutes or so. Flip and sear again for 3 minutes or so. Slip the fish off the skin and out of the pan. Place on plate with a cover for a minute to seal juices. 10 minute salmon, perfect. Eat your heart out Ray. > > wow and to think you shared some with us. You are making my mouth > water. >
