Hi Judi,

It is sad to me to know how we must fight and keep fighting for good medical

care. I worked for doctors, mostly surgeons for almost 25 yrs and people do

not realize that all doctors do not come through medical school at the top of

their class....some barely pass and their medical decisions sometimes show that!

We are in FL now and moving back home to PA Oct 1...Only problem is I just

had gall bladder surgery last week, we have no home to go to nor a mover to move

our things as yet and I am getting worried.... I am very stressed and teary.

The cost of home there is so high but that is where our family is. Also the

medical care in FL is terrible!!!!!

my feet and calves. i do get free chiro care at work, but been too busy to get

of prednisone and up my mtx to 4ccs a week. i am hanging in there, also took

my car to get a tune up. they could not do it. told me to take it to a dealer

because something else is wrong with it. but no clue what it is. also my

transmission is leaking. waahhhh kathy in il i'll say a prayer for you

Thanks, Kathy, and happy birthday/engagement to your son!

I can relate to the car problems, we just took our old car back to

the dealer for the 3rd time with the same problem! I think they just

want to sell us a new car, not fix the old one.

Will be glad when tomorrow is over, but hoping for some good news.

Take care, and get that adjustment!

Kathy, my daughter just turned 20 on Monday. Pretty close in age there. No ring

for her yet, but I think that's pretty close too.

So young......

Dear Judi,

I am sorry that you had such a painful trip but hope that it will help more docs

to become familar

with your disease. How did it start for you? Was it just a few lumps to start

off with and then a

rapid increase? I need to read about Dercums. I would like to be able to view a

photo showing what

it does. I hope that this is the last surprise that is in store for you. You

have had more than

your fair share this past year.

I have always had a lot of lumps on my rib cage area but now three or four have

shown up in my

upper arm. My mother also has them and she has had one cut out that was the size

of a lemon. I

have one in exactly the same place as hers.

I have also been thinking about you but since I am only catching pieces of the

conversations, I am

not exactly sure of what all has been going on for you. Take care of yourself.

Thanks, Kathy

I'm learning that I'd rather have physical pain than emotional pain.

I know a few people who are going thru rough times emotionally, and I

think they suffer far more than I do. I just want to hug them. At

least I can laugh (though even that hurts some days) and see beauty

in life.

Peace,

Oh my word you poor thing! I'm so sorry to hear of your saga - you had me

smiling with your usual positive description though!

I hope you are resting and getting taken care of.

Thanks for the congratulations!

Heidi

[ ] Hi everyone!

It's the " plaid sheep " checking in--

I had the best intentions of keeping up with the posts last week,

then had to be the oddball of the family (my biological family that

is) and have a flu bug hit me. I hope I was the oddball of this

family too, because I wouldn't wish this bug on anyone! It was the

intestinal kind, you know, worshiping the porcelain idol in both

positions, high fever, the whole 9 yards, and it just wouldn't quit.

Not a weight loss solution I'd recommend. By Friday I felt like my

insides were a toxic waste dump. My sweet future SIL came over in

the morning (he's a week short of starting a new job) and rather than

argue with me about the merits of seeing a doctor, he just picked me

up and carried me out to his car, with Ron trailing along with my

purse, and we were off to the immediate care center (Tom's daughter

works there.)

Windi, Tom's daughter, was ready for us (Tom had called on his cell

phone) with a wheel chair so at least I didn't have to come in feet

first) at the side door, and the rest of the world didn't have to see

me in my Duck jammies bundled up in my SpongeBob blanket. By

then I didn't much care anyway. But, 4 hours and one IV later, they

let me come home. I'm starting to feel more like my old self, but I

think they'll have to run the Boston Marathon without me this year.

Shoot, I was SO looking forward to it! Ah, but there seems to be a

ray of sunlight here! Maybe even two rays! Apparently the resting

and high fevers did something to the horrible bursitis I'd been

dealing with in my hips, because I haven't even been needing my cane

the last 2 days. I'm sure that won't last long, but I'm going to

enjoy the relief while I've got it. And was so worried about

me, she forgot to be mad at her ex, Duane, and they actually had some

civil words and decided to make peace and be adult with their

dealings with each other.

I know there have been a number of major " events " posted here, and I

am sorry not to respond to them individually. Those who are having

difficult times always have my prayers, and I hope you are able to

see the sunlight soon. Heidi, my best congratulations on your new

CAREEER! and a, as always, thanks for being the best ever!

Peace and smiles,

Judi

Sorry to hear you are in so much pain, but being a quilter, and a cat owner,

I can understand how the cat could get quilted. THEY ARE ALWAYS IN THE WAY. I

think they feel if you are sitting, you should be putting all your attention on

them.

Worse thing for me, was when the cat lay down on a shirt I was doing embroidery

on. The shirt couldn't move right, so the stitching was screwy and I had to

repair it before I could give it the customer. Luckily it was my SIL,

so I apologized and told her it was a " catsasstrophe " , because the cat sat his

a** on the shirt and messed it up.

LOL, Noreen! It's been a long time since I've had a cat in the house,

but I remember well trying to read the newspaper or do homework without

a furry feline plopping down right in the middle of what I was trying to

focus on.

I'll tell you where to go!

Judi,

OK, as an avid gardener, I'm curious - what is this garden claw you're

talking about?

And I too hope the endo will be able to help you. We need all the garden

time we can get!

Thanks Judi. I've been working on things to do that are fun each day after

Dan gets home to help keep him optimistic. It was working well until late

yesterday, when he started getting grouchy. That's a sign he's starting to get

anxious. So I'm calling the Dr. tomorrow.

If God can appear through Burns, why not in a fortune cookie!

Just ask my daughter, Mom doesn't always know best (LOL!)

You gotta grab those good thoughts wherever you can. You guys just

have a wonderful day now,

Ah, Judi, that sounds like a little slice of heaven! The water in the pool at

the seniors facility

is a little less than freezing at 74 degrees. It has to be at least 80 for me to

be comfortable.

By the way, some of the older girls could out excercise me by double. I was the

only one there

with brown hair (well o.k., brown with getting more gray every day.) Your

evening sounds

wonderful! Relax and enjoy your weekend! Iris

How wonderful to hear from you!! I am so glad you are feeling better.

The bath soak was a product I got from a holistic Doctor - the brand name was Liquid Needle - the type I used was Gold-105. Of course I wouldn't recommend using anything like this without a doctor involved for your safety.
