Have you guys heard about her bio identical hormones and how they

BIO IDENTICAL HORMONES ARE NOT RISK FREE.

I became ill on bioidentical progesterone last week. Since this time, I consulted with my endo. While he feels bio identical progesterone can help MANY WOMEN with PMS, it does NOT benefit all women--in fact, it can exacerbate the PMS symptoms. Hormones are not well received by all women. Hormones--if they are not needed can also cause adverse side effects.

My docs plan for me: address FMS issues first then revisit the progesterone issue at a later date. He feels I could be having a bad reaction because of the FMS itself (he went into an explanation that went over my head a bit--lol). I will give this small does another try after the fms is being "dealt" with. He has referred me on to the best FMS rheumy in DC. I'm awaiting an appointment with them.

Be cautions, while bio identical have less side effects than synthetic (according to Dept. of OBGYN at town Univ.), it does not mean it's not still a potential danger or that these are right for ALL women. When I hear about docs out there who feel ALL women needs this, it's scary to me.

Hormones are NEVER a one-size-fits-all issue.
