Thanks for the advice

I agree about the laws but not many enforce them these days. I have an employee handbook that I had to sign 6 years ago stating that I had received it. After started my disability, within a month or so they sent home a new book with the new "disability clause" with a paper for me to sign stating that I had received it. Of course I never signed it and sent it back. One weird thing though.... my hubby works for the same company. That makes things a little sticky. I can't imagine that it is OK for them to do that to me seeing as though the rule was changed AFTER I went on leave but who knows. They are considered a "small business" so maybe that gives them loopholes that others do not. It seems awful unfair to me that they can change rules as things come up to their benefit but getting people involved could get hairy due to my hubby being there. They have not mentioned anything yet - I think that they wouldn't want to alienate my hubby as he is one of their biggest money makers. I am not sure what will happen. My long term disability was approved through December so far. We will see, I guess. All I know is right now I am horribly stressed over it and wondering what I will do after Dec. I have had a ton of flares lately... I think that stress as well as the stress from all the crappy weather we have had lately w/ all the hurricanes is irritating my fibro.

thanks again

love

shari
