Shari!

Hi! I think you PS sounds like a really nice guy. I like that he went to bat for you with your insurance company. He sounds like a doc worth checking out.

Thank you for your input. You are very helpful!

Hugs,

Beth S./other women waiting to get explantedI can't remember if you said where you were located... Please let me know. I was in a very similar situation as you as far as finances and explanting. I found a really nice doctor locally that did a wonderful job with my explant. He talked me out of a lift saying that he didn't think I needed it and he didn't want me to spend my money needlessly. There aren't too many plastic surgeons these days that will talk you out of giving them money. He was extremely helpful with my insurance issues - he tried to get me preapproved but my insurance wouldn't do it. After removal, he could tell the implants were bad and leaking and wrote my insurance co. several letters in support of my appeal which helped me to get

my money back. He stated in writing that they were both leaking and appeared to be contaminated therefore making me ill. He was right on the money about me not needing a lift and I really appreciated him not trying to sell me procedures I didn't need. He was also significantly less expensive for the explant procedure than some other women I know have had to pay. Of course my first choice would have been to go to one of the other doctors mentioned here and I cannot say for sure that I would have had a better result one way or the other. There are many doctors around the country that have become experts at explanting and are highly recommended - that may have been the ideal situation but money was a serious issue for me and there was no way I could afford to travel and afford the surgery. For me there way just no way - I had to take out a loan as it was to pay for the surgery and this doctor was close to home. My breasts look just fine - about like

they did before implanting - my scarring is very minimal.I just thought I would toss out my two cents as an alternative for the women that have absolutely no way to afford getting to one of the other doctors. My doctor was extremely nice, helpful, and understanding of my situation. He also did a very nice job on my breasts. I would definitely recommended him. He is in the Tampa area - Dr. Bridge and is one of the docs listed on the support group list. He and his wife work in the practice - she is a surgeon too. Let me know if you have any questions or need any additional information.shari
