Guest guest
Well, I think I just may be the first one to reach my goal for 2008! Congratulate me - I am now, officially - ROOT CANAL FREE! Sad to say, I actually had four of them. I had 2 removed last year, and it was my goal to get rid of the other 2 this year. In the past 10 years, I've had a number of pretty significant illnesses. Severe depression, horrible eczema and kidney problems, to name a few. Those ailments were the reason I began my journey toward wellness. And although my health has improved by leaps and bounds with the change of diet, lifestyle, etc., the ailments never completely went away. I have no doubt that if I didn't do all those good things for my body that I do, I would be a very, very sick person. And left to conventional medicine, I'd probably be on dialysis by now. Kidneys don't typically fail for no reason, and so I began to look for that reason. I became absolutely convinced that these issues were coming directly from all of those root canal teeth. (for those of you not familiar with the focal infection theory - check this out: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=587106 ) After making that resolution to be free of them all this year, I thought - what am I waiting for? And although it's not a pleasant thing to lose teeth, I was so looking forward to just getting them OUT! And so I just made the appointment and did it. Had the last two taken out just today. And this may sound crazy, but I swear I feel better already! (and no, it's not the vicodan! LOL) I have a wonderful oral surgeon that goes out of his way to make you comfortable. He a very knowledgeable guy, and open to discussion on the debate amongst dentists regarding root canals. The reason that he's so open and knowledgeable has come from his experiences with his patients. And today, he shared a very interesting story with me. He had a patient that had been living with MS for quite a long time. She was in to have a root canal tooth extracted. Normal day, normal extraction. But this patient called him back afterward specifically to tell him that after removing that root canal tooth, her health began to improve significantly. And it kept improving. And after about 3 months, her doctors - in pure amazement - declared her to be MS FREE! It was GONE - COMPLETELY. He is absolutely amazed by this. And it makes you wonder...how many other diseases are a direct result of these root canal teeth? What a scary, scary thought. And whose bright idea was it anyway, to leave dead, rotting tissue in your mouth? You wouldn't leave a gangrenous limb on your body, and just wrap it up nice and tight, would you? Heck no. In my mind, albeit on a much smaller scale, the root canals are no different. We all know that an absessed tooth can actually, literally kill you, right? And here I was, essentially walking around with FOUR of them! Bad, bad news. It's absolutely amazing that I wasn't outwardly very ill. And by conventional dentists standards, there was nothing wrong with them - your typical root canals. And after removing them, they found they were both absessed - that did not show up on the x-rays. Imagine that. Anyway, I am so looking forward to watching the changes and improvements in my health as a result of removing them. And also to seeing how all those proactive things I do affect me, now that the energy of them isn't being spent on battling all that infection! I have a sense of relief that I can't even explain. I'll keep you all posted, and I hope that all of you have a very happy, healthy, and ROOT CANAL FREE 2008!
