What Has Happened to Sour Cherries?

I don't know if I've ever brought this up on the group...

I like to make a sour cherry pie to celebrate President's Day.

My youngest adores sour cherries and I think they are really good for

you. All of the cherries that I got off of my tiny young cherry tree

last summer are long gone, so I've been looking to buy some frozen

ones. All I can find are " dark, sweet cherries " . I remember reading

somewhere that something else, maybe some type of berry is now being

marketed as a dark, sweet cherry.

But what has happened to sour cherries?
