Guest guest
Autumn's asthma is generally triggered by an infection of some type. She will cough a little when she is upset, but nothing that will trigger the asthma. Guest guest
Sorry I'm late with my $.02 but Graham has done the same thing. Of course being an infant, everything is traumatic and we are working on teaching him how to take slow, deep breaths. Only once have we given him a treatment. For us if we can calm him and work on the breathing, he pulls through. Kim, mom to Linz and Graham
Guest guest
Reading through the files on the main site for the group, I found some mention of Magnesium Sulfate ( Epsom Salts ) used to treat acute asmtha symptoms. I atttempted to click the link that was provided, but the page it linked to isn't there anymore.... SO... I googled it. I've read a bit about aerosalized administration and intravenous.... neither of which is terribly practical for an in home use.... I would LIKE to leave off of my steroid inhaler ( albuterol ) on the occassions that I need it... and so, the thought of epsom salts intriques me. Has anyone heard of this treatment being used? Anyone have any success with it? And most of all - could I take Epsom Salts internally, have it work on the bronchospasms and not end up getting sick from it.... All this makes me wonder what our Ancestors did for such a condition on the (far more rare) occassions that it did occur for them. I do NOT want to be stuck in my house constantly with the air purifiers, air conditioners and be attached to the steroids at the hip... hehehe TIA, Candace ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ You rock.
