Hi guys

I had the same reaction with three of my breast operations and the "strips". (I did not have a reaction with the original implant surgery.... hmmmm wonder if it was the implants making me sensitive to the tape?) I also had a terrible reaction to the tape that was used on back from my epidural and my thighs from the internal baby monitor when I had my son... I had a horrible itchy rash for weeks. Some kind of weird allergy they say and have to use paper tape on me anytime I have had IV's, etc, ever since. Maybe it is a chemical sensitivity to the glue on the tape??

I'm not sure - - but I wouldn't think there would be silicone in the tape....I'll have to call the dr.'s office and find out why it makes you so itchy!!! I'm just hoping it is the steri strips and not the explant!!! That would be awful! After all that - then, having some kind of reaction to the procedure!!

It is really really common in allot of our surgical patients that

they react to tape and adhesives, it is not uncommon and we are not

unusual. Most patients do best with the paper tape.

I think it is just an irritant and esp since you have had it on so

long, the skin needs to breath. If you take them off you will be

feeling much better, it has been awhile girl take them off trust me!
