Guest guest
I do know that as we age we do tend to gain in this area, this a fact, I also carry more wieght in my waist than any other body part, and have the little pouch from my pregnancy, below my navel way down low. However this does not sound like what you describe. I am wondering if you are taking allot of supplements that could be causing it. I know everyone thinks supps are the greatest thing on earth, but personally I like getting my vitamins from food and feel better when I do. Supps make me bloated and blah, I just don't take them and don't feel bad at all for it. In fact I feel better when I don't take them. Crazy huh? Anyhow that is how I feel. I mean there could be a zillion reasons for this, but I would be interested in knowing what your diet is, what your exercise routine is, etc etc. Remember too, that as we age, we need to do more stregnth training to help our body from losing muscle and turing to fat. It is sad, but a fact of life that women lose muscle and bone fast after 30 and beyond, every year if they don't exercise. I know you have allot of health issues but I highly recomend that you workout and try to stay away from the supps for a bit and see if that helps. I am sure that others will have some ideas too, and maybe those will be better than mine, I just know what I experienced with too much of the supps and crap. I mean believe it or not we can get too carried away with some treamtents when we think it is the magic button, but in my own opinion there is no magic button better than working out for feeling and looking better. If those things don't work, I would try to find a Dr that will do more for you. blessings In , " mikat828 " <mikat828@y...> wrote: > Hey I have a problem that is driving me nuts. Guest guest
- CArrie Mostly I just walk. Because of the fms I can be put up for days with exercise. I sometimes stretch--and I know I should do it everyday. For awhile I was doing some stomach exercises but it didnt seem to make any difference. Then again, it didn't for dale either. I need to do more. I have also noticed that if I lay on my side my lower abdomen kind of pouches out. If I suck it in real hard it looks better but not gone. Same if I were to get on my hands and knees. Geez! when did all this crap happen? I used to be so thin you could always see my hip bones. Now it is like I have this little moveable roll of skin there. Are there any exercises that would tighten that or would plastic surgery be the only help? I feel like my lower abdomen looks like some older women's upper arms--kind of hangy. The stretch marks and nice c-section scar from my navel to my pubic bone doesn't help. Ok, I am getting real depressed now! Does anyone know if the skin just gets looser in the abdomen as you hit around 50? Not that most of you are that age! I would appreciate any recs on exercises that could help.
