Guest guest
Well, I'm two weeks explanted -- and still feel kind of strange @ times.....my bandages and dressings should come off tomorrow -- but I'm too nervous to take them off!!! This is so crazy!!! I'm not sure I want to feel my breasts without them being wrapped tightly. What if they hurt without that support?!?!? Although, the tapes are starting to get a bit itchy. I just can't imagine I'll be able to wear a bra anytime soon. Does anyone explanted remember when they wore their 'first bra?' I probably should go the sport bra route - do you know if they come padded??? Any advice would be welcomed! Thanks ~ Kate
Guest guest
Hi, Yes, support bras do come padded. I bought one a while ago at Target. If you live in the phila area, you should be able to find them there. Guest guest
Welcome Muff, Welcome to the group. . . You've already taken the first big step . . . making the connection between your implants and your illness. You're going to be in the hands of an excellent doctor who understands detoxing well! You've got a lot of good living to look forward to! Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Just a caution to avoid the word " best " when describing any doctor. We have had way too much trouble over this in the past. What is " best " for one may not be " best " for another. Please avoid this term as we love many, many, many of our great doctors. Thanks, Lynda At 04:59 PM 12/6/2004, you wrote: >ROGEINE, THANK YOU. Guest guest
Muff, I talk to Dr Kolb by phone weekly, I'll make sure to tell her all about your enthusium. But is right, all the ps's here are wonderful Please be careful with all the "she is the greatest". It can offend. She was my doc too, but fair is fair. Re: EXPLANT CAUTION? THAT'S FUNNY BECAUSE I FEEL SHE IS THE BEST FOR ME. HOW MANY DOCTORS CAN EXPLANT YOU, LIFT YOU, DETOX YOU AND TRIM YOUR LABIA AT THE SAME TIME? I DON'T KNOW OF ANY BESIDES DR.KOLB? THANK YOU FOR RESPECTING ME ENOUGH TO ALLOW ME ASSERT MY OPINION.MUFF> > > Welcome Muff,> > >> > > Welcome to the group. . . Guest guest
, I wasn't going to discuss her surgeries, Dr Kolb probably wouldn’t share that nor do I wish or want want that type of info. Just wanting to see if "Muff" is really a patient of hers, a lot has been going no here lately. Besides, if she is, I would email her some info privately about Dr Kolb and my good experience, as I was also a Kolb patient. Re: EXPLANT> > > > > CAUTION? Guest guest
'Muff' and her all caps posts are fake. All -Marie aka LM aka Jane Doe aka _________. First she uses a euphanism for the female genitalia ('muff'), then she raves about Dr. Kolb using only hyperbole, then extols the value of treatments she abhors and aims to discredit at every opportunity. Lastly, she claims she will have a surgical procedure (labial reduction) which Dr. Kolb does not perform concurrent with an explantation. -Marie is probably the harshest critic of Dr. Kolb out there. She claims Dr. Kolb is an implant pusher and yet, recommends Dr. Spear who IS part of the cohesive gel implant study, puts in thousands of breast implants into healthy and sick women every year, has a financial vested interest in implanting, especially the 'new and improved' gummy bear implant. Just ignore 'MUFF' and her shouting at all of us by using all caps. > > > > > Welcome Muff, > > > > > > > > > > Welcome to the group. . . Guest guest
I know, its pretty pathetic, that some people cannot stay away when they claim they hate us so much. Nothing better to do, I guess. As for Dr Kolb, Marie does not and never has been a patient of Dr Kolb. And so, her harsh opinion is of no value. Means nothing. Whatsoever. Dr Kolb is an exceptional doctor and I am pleased with her. As well as our others, if they take them out correctly -that is what matters. Thank you, girl! Guest guest
Hi , I really do not know of any way to speed things up short of calling one of our recommended plastic surgeons, finding out which one has the soonest opening and traveling to the one who can fit you in first. Of course, paying out of pocket too. It is a very tough situation to be in. I felt the same way...I could hardly stand the thought of having the implants in my chest while I waited for my explant date. If I was the insane type, I would have ripped them out of my chest myself. (haha Though I shouldn't laugh, we really did hear of a woman who took a razor blade to her chest to get rid of them. Tragic circumstances there to be sure.) I hope your insurance approves it...my approval took about 2 weeks. Not too bad. I hope you find out soon. Who is doing it?
