Guest guest
Docs: There is a black bear research facility in Ely, Minnesota near the Canadian border and one of the females they are observing named Jewel is getting ready to deliver her cubs. She has dug her cave in the ground and made a bed of sticks, and now getting ready to deliver. They've set up a web cam in her cave and you can watch this whole process in real-time with sound and all. Very cool! Below is the link to the web site. Just click on the right arrow button that appears on the small screen at the left side of the page and after a 30-second commercial, you will be linked to the web cam. You can also click on the button to make it full screen on your computer. My wife and I have been watching her for a couple of days now and she is overdue to deliver (like most first-time mothers!) Jewel is 3 years old and you can read about her on the web site. http://www.bear.org/livecams/jewel-den-cam.php And here is a link to the researchers' daily updates: http://www.bearstudy.org/website/research/daily-updates.html Lyndon McGill, D.C.
