Guest guest
Hi Christi - Don't you just hate - Oh, they'll grow hair!! It drives me up the wall! Welcome, I just found this group myself last week and they have been very supportive. My daughter will be 7 months old on March 13 and we are struggling with the same issues - My husband and I knew something wasn't right with 's head and were persistent with her pediatrician who promptly gave us the she'll grow hair, it will round out around 6 months - BULLS**T! I happened to catch a segment on our evening news about positional plagiocephaly and fortunately for me I am in NC - I brought my daughter in for a screening and they feel she will benefit by the band. Her pediatrician on the other hand is giving me a HARD time getting a referral to see a cranial facial specialist. From my understanding, you should definetely have the xrays taken and ask her pediatrician for a referral to a cranial facial specialist or a neurologist for a second opinion. 's appointment is on March 16th and I still don't have a referral. I am willing to go 'out of pocket' if this is what will help her. Cranial Technologies has a payment plan - 1 Band/ including mold/adjustments/ is $3000.00 - $600.00 per month starting at casting! I know this is steep but in this case I think the benefits are worth it! It is difficult enough to be a child today - I don't want her to have issues that I could have helped fix when she is too little to even remember. Again, WELCOME - if you need anything please feel free to let us know!! Patty & 8/13/

Guest guest
<< I am also new. My pediatrician said don't worry about it. He said he sees this 2 to 3 times a day. He said it may take until he is 2 or 3 but the head will correct itself. I am not taking him at his word and have an appointment with a neurosurgeon in 2 weeks. >> Hi , how old is your son? Jenna's doctor said not to worry, for us to just reposition her. He said he has seen much worse. I don't know what to do. She will be 3 months on Friday. I have been laying her on the opposite side and not letting her put pressure on that side. I guess we will wait until she is 4 months. If it has not improved, we will go from there. By the way, she is miserable not being able to turn her head in the direction she wants to. She sleeps horribly now too! Tired mommy here! Do any of you have any supporting data that shows these problems do not always correct themselves? This will help us make a decision about what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
