Guest guest
Hi Carl, Sorry about your father, my Prayers will be with him and you... It doesn't matter how they treated us as kids, they are still our parents and in some way we will always love them and care for them, hopefully better than they did us... Oh I'm so glad that the CPAP is helping you... Are you more refreshed in the mornings now, or still to early to tell??? ((( Happy Hugs )))Helen Another session with my therapist. My emotional issues (depression, etc.) started long before my physical ailments. I feel like I'm making some progress. Even though I often feel terrible, at least I'm feeling...I got a CPAP machine for my sleep apnea, and it helps a lot.I've started on Imuran (immune system suppressant). It's too soon to tell whether it will be beneficial, but so far the only side effect I can detect is some slight nausea. My father's in the hospital, in intensive care. There's no diagnosis yet, but his heart was racing when he was brought in. He's eighty, and has Alzheimer's and only one lung. Even though he was a terrible father and I don't like him as a person, he's a major part of my life, and I love him and worry about him. Guest guest
Helen, Thank you. You're right, they're our parents no matter what (though I'd certainly support exceptions in extreme cases). There's no update on Dad's diagnosis. He's still in intensive care. He drew up a living will many years ago, properly signed and witnessed and all that, which was a smart thing to do. Now that he's not competent to make his own decisions, we (his family) don't have to wonder what he would have wanted and torment ourselves over whether we decided wrong. My mother is worried, of course, as we all are. She's in bad health herself, with lupus, a leaky heart valve and osteoporosis. Plus she's caught the stomach flu that's going around in these parts. Please remember her in your prayers/positive thoughts/etc. I'm definitely waking up more refreshed with the CPAP. The sleep lab told me that without the machine, my blood oxygen level was going down to 83% (around 97% is normal). With the CPAP, it was at 95%. I expect over the long term that will make a difference in my overall health. Best, Carl > > > > Hi Carl, > Sorry about your father, my Prayers will be with him and you... Guest guest
Hi Carl, Me too for exceptions... Yes, your Mother will be in my Prayers also... That's Great that your oxygen level is doing so much better!!! Yes, give your body time to adjust to all the renewed oxygen that it has been deprived, it should help you out tremendously... Keep us updated on yourself and family... ((( Caring Hugs )))Helen Helen,Thank you.
