Guest guest
Hello everyone.I hope everyone is well. My names alexis im 20 years old and i have a one year old with spina bifida L3-L4, hydrocephulus,a vp shunt, arnold chiari, kidney reflux, eye issues, dislocated hip, and reflux. My daughter has a dislocated hip that her ortho dr is trying to get it back in place without major surgery. They started body casting her in january and she was only suppose to be in it for 3 months. Well a month and a half into the cast they changed it to put a clean one on. An hour after we returned home ceci started haveing horrible pain.SHe cried and cried. The dr said that she should be fine.WEll that was around 1:00pm by 8:00 i had to rush her to the hospital because she refused to eat, had violent vomiting and choking and still was crying. At the hospital the dr found out that ceci had a hernia. SO the cast was removed and but even after the hernia surgery ceci continued to get worse. After a hard week of not knowing what was going on and all the drs that we met no one could figure out what was going on So they just continued giving her pain meds and alot of iv fluids. Finally i decided to take her home. A couple days later we had a ortho appt. and come to find out ceci had a broken leg. Someone had broke her leg in the hospital and either no one said anything or no one knew. It was the most terrible thing that i ever had to deal with. I felt so sick and upset. My daughter had to deal with this horrible pain for a week and a half. Now my daughter is in her second sets of cast once again trying to fix her hip. We started again in april and she has one more cast being put on in two weeks and that will hopefully be the last. The heat has made it so hard for my baby girl. The last one is to be removed at the end of july. And im praying that she will not need any surgeries or other hospitalizations until at least after that time. I dont think ceci could start all over. We are asking friends and supporters to visit one of cecis page to leave prayer and support. It would greatly be appreciated. one is carepages.com her page name is ceciliaspage the other is located at caringbridge.org/visit/ceciliamarie These two sites are great places to keep family and friends updated, add pictures and have friends leave messages. thank you for taking the time to read this. alexis
