Guest guest
and others My exercise and my looks are extremely important to me and always have been and that is not a bad thing in my opnion. But yes, when it came down to big breasts or health, hell there was no competition there, the choice was as easy as can be. I did not care how I looked in a damn tank top compared to feeling good. However, my looks were not ever pushed to the way side either, had they been I would have just gone to my old PS who would have removed the implant and capsule for free and then later if he felt it was safe at some point would have done the lift. So no matter what anyone says, our looks still matter to us even when we are ill. I mean I did not want to look like crap after explant, I am sure that is also why you did not want a lolipop lift because you still cared about your breasts and maybe your nipples were more of a concern cause your young and want babies too. However I want to make it very very clear that my working out and all that is not just about my looks or being as tiny as I can be. For me it was a goal that i strived hard for, I learned as much as I could about fitness and opted to get into the shape of my life. My goal was 16% body fat and that is something that I worked on for the last 2 or 3 years to obtain. It is a healthy thing for an athletic woman of my age to be as low as 14% if that is made up of muscle and not just skin and bones. There is a big difference of someone who weighs 90 pounds and has a body fat of 16% and someone like me who is a solid 120 pounds at 5'3 " tall that is a good solid amount of weight, but only 20 pounds of it is fat. I longed to be in that shape for years and have acheived it and feel really good about how I look. I know that maybe this is not everyones goal or desire but for me it was important and in some ways I think it was a revenge against the big boob look i had longed for, it is my way of saying screw you to that image of myself with big fake breasts. I can look in the mirror now and be extremely proud of myself with my small muscular body, even if I have hardly and breasts at all I don't care, I would take this lean me over that fake breasted me any day. I also don't feel totally against plastic surgery as some may and some day if the need should arise I would def do some procedure to keep things firm tight whatever. Right now I feel I look damn good and to me looking good has a positive affect on my health. It really truly does help me feel better. I am not against getting a nose job if that is what it takes to make someone feel good about themselves, or a face lift if it came down to it, something like that, even the tummy tuck if I could only afford to go to Dr Feng for it I would be there in a second. I am afraid to go to a cheap Dr for fear of the resulsts so maybe someday when or if I can afford it I may go back to Feng for that procedure. Ya never know. however my point in this post was merely to say that I truly believe in fitness for your health as much as your self confidence. I mean I have NEVER FELT BETTER ABOUT MYSELF as I do right now. That is worth allot to me. Lets face it, we still care how we look, we all got implants to be better or to feel better, that for me did not ever stop, but fitness is beyond looks. It is a whole relm of things, it is about being healthy, living long, motivating others around me that they too can do it. Not to brag but there are about 3 or 4 different girls at my work who have lost weight from working out and diet not just surgery, who have come and told me I was their inspiration, that is a good feeling. I love to see others reach their fitness goals, it is a fantastic feeling and I will never stop caring about my looks or health. I feel this way and will always be who I am. There is no reason that we have to let our bodies go because we are getting older. Has anyone here heard of Charo? She is said to possibly be 60 years old(yes I think she has implants too) she is amazing, she is absolutley stunning and in the best shape you can imagine, she amazes me, I am sure there is some work done too, but her legs, well you just don't make legs like that, they are the work of dancing working out etc. That is how I want to be, fit in my 50's and 60's and as far beyond as I can be. to me fitness is a way of life that is more encompassing that just looking good or fitting in a size 1. hugs In , " JOSEPH PALANCA " <juliejp61@m...> wrote: > kathy, I agree-health should come first. I wouldn't worry too much about it, and just start doing some more stomach workouts, like get one of the " Firm " tapes for just the abdoman, I think mine is 25 min long. I do it three times per week. See how much it helps. > My main problem in the first place, was harsh expectations on my appearance. it was all about being my best and I did whatever I could to get there,. Starving myself ,getting implants, working out 2 hours a day...It has taken me to get to this point of being so ill, I have let go of it and like you said put health first. I promised God that I would appreciate the real me more, and the body he gave me , imperfections and all- if I could get my health back. I really pleaded. I actually had to get counseling for this, for obsessive body image, you could say, and actually was told to stop working out for a month, and when I did go back I had to tell myself- everyday when I work out, I had a limit- 45 min, and it is for my health first. if I start looking better, it is a plus. It was too discouraging to be so ill, and not lose weight. > I am so happy now! heavier than I ever thought Id be (my God Im 5'7 and wear a size 11 now) but ok with it, as I have to get better. And I am loved, by God and my hubby skinny or not. Looking at all our little imperfections, is just silly to me, and too time consuming. I do workout, but let go of the rest.
