Guest guest
Hello there, My knees dilocate and have since I was around 9 or so. I just do my best to be as careful as I can. I can not count the number of times I have dislocated it. Being fatigued is a biggie for me as that is when I do it the most. Elevate your leg with ice on it and stay off it as much as possible until it heals up. Hope you feel better soon. Heidi
Guest guest
Hi, last Wednesday I slipped on a manhole cover and I dislocated my knee. Ouch! It went back but now my knee is swollen. I just hobble everywhere at the moment. It happened a lot when I was a kid. I'm 42 now. I'm just a little scared in going out now in case it happens again. *** , are you icing your knee to get the swelling down? And perhaps you should have your doctor look at it. I understand you don't want to go out, but at some point you will need to. ~ G
Guest guest
Hi , Sounds like you went through a lot with your knees. I am hoping to just let them be and do the best I can so as not to have surgery. Especially having 5 children to care for. I just try to take it easy and not overdo it. Thanks for all your information about knees it is most helpful. Heidi
Guest guest
Hi, My kneecaps dislocated all the time. It started when I was in the 7th grade and went on through my sophmore year inhigh school. Then I had surgery where they put a screw in to tie my knee cap to my muscle to tighten the the muscle up. It worked really good, but the muscle would weaken and had to have the surgery again. This went on for several years with both of my knees. I finally had no other options but to remove my knee caps, one at a time. This worked really well but I alot of physical theray to learn to walk again, it was whole different way I had to learn to walk, because I did walk back after that. I've been through alot with trying to stay walking and finally had to give in to a wheelchair, but I'm okay with this because it is so much easier and alot less painful. Guest guest
Hi, thanks to everyone that has replied. I was rather naughty today and walked into town. I had to get some shopping. Ummm, it was a bad idea. I was walking very slowly and limping and got a bit painful and exhausting. My knee still swollen. I see my doctor on Monday so I shall show him. He will probably tell me off for walking. Ooops. Anyway, thanks again.
