Guest guest
Thanks Gretchen..I understand your system is surely different than ours. But, I normally do not know or remember where a member of actually lives, so I just give it a shot. As Roy asked how long it took - I sent all my paperwork to CPP on April 23, 2004 and I was notified on May 28, 2004 that I qualified for a CPP Disability Pension. I was truly impressed with " our system " . Regards,

Guest guest
Hi Tessie: I live in small town, Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada. Port Elgin is located on the southern shores of Lake Huron. Port Elgin is considered " cottage country " . Take a look sometime at www.sunsets.com. We have beautiful sunsets. Port Elgin is a 2 hour drive from London, Ontario and a three hour drive from Toronto, Ontario. During the summer we get a lot of visitors from Michigan. They arrive by car or boat. We have a beautiful harbour complete with a " Customs " office for visitors, mainly from the US, to clear coming into Canada. I hope that helps. I think K hit the nail on the head. Do not leave anything unanswered. The letter my neurologist sent to my family doctor, to be included in the CPP " kit " , was great. He indicated how my CMT had progressed in the last year. The strength in my arms and legs had deteriorated, my pain levels had increased, and I was really fatigued by the CMT and my medication. His closing line to my doctor was, " it is perfectly reasonable that Mr. Beckingham not work any longer " . End of story. Tessie - In the future if I can be of any assistance, I can be reached at dgbeckingham@.... Regards,
