Guest guest
I have a 63 yo male patient with patches of diagnosed fungus on his toes/MP area. He also has some toenails that are 'infested' with fungus (this has been for years). He has just begun soaking them in bleach. This can't be good! I have encouraged him to get off dairy and wheat, but he refuses. I have counciled him on the fact that his body will not heal this as long as the stress is still in place (and I don't know if the culprit is diet). He can only come in to be adjusted every 2-4 weeks. Doesn't seem to have a lot of mental stress. Past hx: was a smoker for about 45 yrs, quit about 2 yrs ago and the fungal patches on the skin surfaced after he quit smoking. Also retired about 1 yr ago from a labor job where he wore non-breathing boots all day. Suggestions on remedies, supplements? He is willing to take supplements, as he already takes a 'handful' of them every day. Thanks! Janell Chandler Vancouver
Guest guest
Janell, Lauricidin now makes a topical form called Epi-Shield. It's amazing stuff. I've been using it on a patient's skin problem that was not resolving (it kept itching and burning despite treatment) with MD Rx. The itching has resolved and he says he can go days without problems. You can go on the web-site (lauricidin.com) or call 877-770-7270 and talk to for more info on this stuff. It is a little greasy, but it's working. Also the cost is low: to the patient about $20.
