Guest guest
If it were not for my grandmother, her sisters and other women of her generation, standing up, thinking smarter and speaking out, women would not have been given the right to vote. If it were not for Parks and Luther King and others of that generation, the Civil Rights Act would never have happened. If it were not for my mother and father, who fought for me and my CMT needs in an era pre-dating the ADA, I would not have learned to fight for myself - in all areas of my life. , Heidi, and all who are fighting schools, doctors, etc. for your children, keep doing it. There IS justice and your children are learning how to " fight smarter " from you. Speak out. You are the voices for your kids. Imagine the day when I can write my memoirs from my rocking chair and say " I remember the days when the ADA was fully known, respected and utilized by all in need " . There IS justice. Don't stop trying. Yes, life isn't fair and it would be a dull one if it was. Keep at it and don't stop thinking about tomorrow...justice will come. Fight when you can, when you are tired and feel like giving up, rest some, get re-charged, and keep fighting. My family is now all deceased, I'm an adult and I still fight on certain important issues in my life - just this week had two personal life WINS; the only reason I could fight for myself was because I had the two best teachers, my parents. And you know, if I can help in anyway, I'm here for you. Gretchen
