Dear ers,

I was thinking about 's question about diet and asked Dr. Greg

about this. And here is his reply, followed by the question I asked - just

information for us all here.

" That area is SOOOOO poorly studied in CMT. Great questions but I have no real

honest answer to give specifically to CMT. Another area that needs research

Gretchen. I guess I would just say, stick with a heart healthy diet for lack of

a better idea. Also, KEEP THIN as adding extra weight could be a nightmare for

someone with CMT. Greg.

Dear Dr. , someone with CMT have asked me about a diet for CMT. To my

knowledge nothing exists. What do you recommend - low carb/low fat/no sugar/no

salt/fruits & vegs/ chicken/fish - beef/ should CMT persons eat more frequently

during the day? Are their any research papers on CMT and diet you could direct

me to?

Thanks, Gretchen at

Dear Gretchen,

Many thanks for the useful reply. My friend who I live with actually has a

strict diet for his social anxiety and the diet you suggested is actually what

he uses too. I have started doing it and I feel a lot better.

already.

Thanks
