Guest guest
All, This is encouraging...whether you agree with the 'low fat diet' as a causative or not, at least this surgeon is understanding the nutritional causative forces. On the same thought of inflammed arteries being a provocative factor, I can certainly agree. In the recent book Vitamin C: The Real Story by Steve Hickey, PhD and Saul, PhD, arteriosclerosis is considered scurvy .... a vitamin C deficiency with arteriosclerosis being the 'moderate scurvy' and cardiovascular/heart disease being 'advanced scurvy' ..... to me, THIS rings SO true! We are an undernourished nation ..... overfed but undernourished. The book is a great read and I highly recommend it. Two heart surgeons that are leaving the practice of heart surgery to treat nutritionally/preventative. Healing people with fat. Literally, heartening.
