Guest guest
I have a question. I also take Neurontin.. Dr. has me on 300 mg 4X a day. But she said I can take more if needed. My question to you guys is the ones who take very high doses of Neurontin is do you work?? I work 7 hours a day and am afraid of taking too much cause I am afraid I might get drowsy. I have severe pain in my finger tips and toes. One thing I have done since most my work is on a computer is a have fake nails and it helps with the typing. I would like some input as to if you guys work or not. Thank you .... Laurie in Sarasota
Guest guest
Laurie, I can only speak for myself. Everyone's tolerance is different. I'm retired, taking 1800 mg. a day. I'm not aware that it makes me sleepy. I do some volunteer work once a week. I work around the house and drive daily to appointments and errands. Doesn't bother me, but again everyone is different. Guest guest
Hi Laurie - in Sarasota Yes I did work while on 2100 mg of Neurontin a day. I had quite a fast paced job as the Director of Sales, Marketing and Customer Care for a local telephone company. Get in early and leave late. Yes, one of the side effects of Neurontin is that it may cause fatigue. It sure did in me. I am now retired and at age 55 I am also on disability benefits due to CMT. I found I could not perform at the pace I was on, and that fatigue was getting the better of me. Don't forget though, CMT also causes fatigue. I find I am not so tired any more, and if I am I take a nap. Too bad we were not allowed to nap at work. Give me 30-40 minutes and I am ready to go again.
