Guest guest
Dear Ruth: Thanks so much for these ideas and your support...we have a clinic appt in 2 weeks and I'll be raising the changes with the docs then. We're certainly up for any ideas that will work and his program assistant at school is willing to do stretches with him during the day. He can still wiggle his toes but does have signs of foot drop. Based on what we now know, his signs of CMT likely started at about age 1, his imbalance and falling thought to be related to middle ear infections instead of CMT but the imbalance etc. didn't clear up with ear tubes . I'm so pleased to hear that you were able to do most everything you wanted to do. Hopefully Gavin will to. He is doing downhill ski lessons (loves it) and was having a hard time turning one direction due to weaker hip muscles on that side. He and his instructor have found a way for him to modify the technique to do those turns. Where there's a will there's a way. Cheers Sally
