Guest guest
You are in luck! Flat shoes are now very much in style! You can find them everywhere! I am planning on stocking up for sure! Karon
Guest guest
Cristal, Flat sneakers are most certainly a no-no for me. I have to have a good walking sneaker with a pretty thick sole. I would love to be able to wear the cute little flat canvas sneakers but my orthotics won't fit inside them so I don't even bother looking at them. I usually get mens sneakers so I try to find the lightest ones I can find and also ones that don't look so big and clunky and " manly " . I haven't been in spike heels since my early 20's and I sure do miss those days. Considering I was 6 feet tall at the time. But now I'm 6' 3 " so spikes aren't necessary anyway. Elaina. Guest guest
Hi Elaina, That's funny, I'm 6'2 " tall and the only time I ever wore heels when was I was in 4th grade. My mom wouldn't let me wear them because I was too young and after that I was too tall and now I can't wear them because of CMT. I always wondered what it would be like to be obsessed with buying shoes. I'm lucky to get a good pair of sneakers!! lol. (p.s., I only wore them in the kitchen and the heels were about 11/2 " )
Guest guest
Hi , I hear you on the shoe obsessions. When you have to pay so much for a single pair of shoes it certainly doesn't become an obsession. I went to school with girls who had tiny feet and hundreds of pairs of shoes in every color. I always wore my sneakers or loafers. It wasn't until I moved out on my own and was still able to find inexpensive shoes in my size that I had more than maybe 4 pairs of shoes. But once I hit size 12 I was back to just a couple of really good pairs and that's where I've been ever since. You're 6'2. So I bet you always get the " did you play basketball? " questions too? Everyone says to me " oh I wish I had your height " . That's when I think to myself. " I'm sure you do but walk in my shoes for a week and then we'll talk " . Shoes problems, pants that aren't long enough, shirtsleeves that aren't long enough but I never have trouble getting items off the top shelves in grocery stores. I'm not complaining I just find it humorous. Elaina.
Guest guest
Elaina, HUMOR IS EVERYTHING!! Yup!, the basketball questions always got me. I purposely played volleyball just to get to them. (then I broke my leg in 7th grade and it was out of bounds anyway!)And I never listened in basketball, I had a tendency to take the ball and just run, dribbling wasn't me. And of course the , " I wish I was as tall as you were! " .I also waited on some people once from the " Tiptoppers Club " out of Chicago and " The Skyliners " out of Detroit. The women had to be over 6' and the men over 6'2 " . Back to CMT though. I do wish I could wear shoes with heels just because I have self confidence at 45 and couldn't care less what anyone thinks now. Take care and talk soon. Guest guest
, Like you I didn't play basketball very well. I always found myself " setting " the b-ball instead of dribbling. So I played volleyball from Jr. to Sr. high. I really miss high heels as well but I think my boyfriend is really really glad I don't (can't) wear them anymore. (He's only 5' 10 " ) Elaina
