Lawyer settles 'Apprentice' suit

A quadriplegic attorney settled his lawsuit against producers of NBC's " The

Apprentice " after they agreed to make clear the program accepts applications

from the disabled.

Schottel Jr., whose federal lawsuit claimed the show's online application

was discriminatory in requiring " excellent physical health " of would-be

contestants, said this week that producers agreed to inset a sentence into the

show's rules encouraging people with disabilities to try out.

Mark Burnet, who produces the show along with star Trump, said " it was

never our intent to exclude from consideration persons with disabilities.

Funny, I noticed the same thing for applying for the Bachelor and was quite

disturbed by it. I did not follow up because it also had an age limit and I am

43!

Jackie ***Jackie, I noticed this first in the " Survivor " series, the last two

or three have had some of the toughest disabled people playing the game and

doing really well. Hmmm, wonder if anyone from will apply for

" Apprentice " ? ~ Gretchen
