Guest guest
Ted, I think you meant 97140, manual therapy rather than 97150, group therapy, don't think I am an expert in codes, my big question on 97140, is when I bill for manip, to say, SI can I also bill for manual therapy, to say, gluts and piri which are in the same general area, pelvis, but the focus in on the muscle , tendon rather than on the joint any comments?? thanks Marc
Guest guest
My understanding is that you can do all the different "manual" therapies you want, but it is per unit, which is 15 minutes/unit. I use the code a lot. Unfortunately Chiropractic managed care organizations tend to redefine the code and drastically reduce it's value.
