Guest guest Posted March 16, 2005 Report Share Posted March 16, 2005 Reema, You will find that with maturity you will come into great self-acceptance and be able to enjoy life much more by knowing what you CAN DO and when praised, accept the compliments graciously and without conceit. Practice knowing the comfort of what is positive in your life and begin to train your mind (through your art, or meditation or whatever) to chase negative thoughts of self-doubt, worthlessness, etc., out of your mind. This will help you to not get lost in your own head! To achieve the emotional balance I have today, I have had to work very hard at it for many, many years. It has taken time and patience with myself, I have also attended many retreats/speakers/conferences on this to learn techniques I can use and through my 12 step work now I see results in my life.
