Guest guest
Once again we have an MVA pt who needs an orthopedic evaluation (suspected meniscus tear, MRI ordered). The problem is that the pt doesn’t have personal insurance so none of our local orthopods will accept this case because there is no personal insurance to bill if the auto insurance doesn’t cover the cost. The auto insurance folks will not “guarantee” payment. Is anyone else having this problem and how have you handled this situation? Thanks in advance for your advice and responses.Peace,Larry L.
