Guest guest
Does anyone know if there is going to be a class down here in Southern Oregon before May? Need for CE for me is no later then May 30th, which I assume is also this requirement. Thank you. Walt Eagle Point Hi Minga, After all the scary stories and 'no-no's ' that these classes will bring forth, please add a section on 'HOW to Touch'! We are still such a Puritan nation that touching is verboten (which, IMHO, is one of the reasons we are vulnerable to these problems). Teaching what IS okay is as important as teaching what ISN"T okay. my 2 cents Sunny Sunny Kierstyn, RN DC Fibromyalgia Care Center of Oregon 2677 Willakenzie Road, 7CEugene, Oregon, 97401541- 654-0850; Fx; 541- 654-0834www.drsunnykierstyn.com From: AboWoman@...Date: Wed, 22 Feb 2012 12:21:49 -0500Subject: Fwd: Sexual Boundary class notice OK, seems this email has also created confusion. I don't mean to imply that MY class is mandatory. A 2-hour class on sexual boundary issues is mandatory. I had 3-4 docs email me after the first announcement and say they thought this class was only for newly licensed docs, 2 thought it wasn't mandatory at all for anyone. After this post, some thought ONLY my class was mandatory. holy Hanna, Bat docs! Every licensed DC in Oregon must take a sexual boundary class. It must be 2 hours in length and be approved by the OBCE. Content will vary among presenters. I have this one planned. I know of one other currently scheduled at UWS for a Friday mid day the last week of March, I believe. I am in talks with 2 other sponsors to re-produce my power point for 2-3 other live seminars. I'm not at liberty to give dates or exact information cause it's not set in stone yet. I do plan on having a DVD for rent after the March 15 seminar. It will be taped. Live is nice for socializing with our peers, however, I understand the difficulty of travel from more remote parts of the state. I'm in conversation to set on up in Pendleton area in mid June. Not certain yet at all. I've heard rumor of one other that might be set for April (OCA) sponsored. I hope this clears up any misconceptions. Minga Guerrero DCabowoman@... Sexual Boundary class notice Doctors, There were a few docs who called me, not realizing that this was a mandatory class for ALL DCs in Oregon in 2012. Please tell your colleagues who may not be on this listserv that this is mandatory. The OBCE did notify everyone, however, there are approximately 20% of the addresses returned as 'not at this address'. The OBCE has a hard time tracking those that don't register an address change.
