Guest guest
Hi Cristal, Ya know I always thought I had really wide feet and was buying wide shoes. The man who made my orthotics is the one who told me that my foot was actually narrow and he ordered me a narrow sneaker. The fit did make a difference but to me my feet are still wide. Finding shoes is horrendous. When I was able to wear nice dressy shoes I always had to order them from catalogs or specialty shops. Always paying 60-90 dollars a pair. Sneakers aren't so hard to find because I can get mens if I have to. That's what I've been wearing for the past year now because I just can't handle the dressy shoes. But believe it or not there was a time when I wore 3 inch spike heels. (course I was a LOT younger then) I guess for me having a hard time finding shoes is normal. Elaina. Guest guest
Elaina, 3 inches!? Oh my God, I'd fall right over. The only time I was able to ever wear heels was when I was about 15 and I think 2 inches was my limit. Some days I wish I could wear sneakers to work but it just can't be. I order my narrow dress shoes from Zappo shoes and they are very expensive but usually very comfortable (for at least a year). Then I stretch the fronts (while the heels remain narrow) and I can no longer wear them. The best are the ones that actually wrap themselves around my foot. This way they can't slip off the heel. Do you find that flat sneakers are difficult to walk in? I find that my sneakers must have a little height in order to composate the pes cavus. Otherwise, I swear I'm going to fall over.
